The 46-year-old driver will return to the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Saturday night in Kansas City as the latest addition to Roush Fenway Racing. Kenseth will drive the No. 6 Ford in place of Trevor Bayne, who is scheduled to remain with the team for an unspecified number of races.

Kenseth will drive in Saturday’s KC Masterpiece 400 as well as May 19’s NASCAR All-Star Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Martin Truex Jr. won both races at Kansas last season, but it has been Kevin Harvick (3.5), Kyle Busch (5.25) and Ryan Blaney (6.5) with the best average finish the past four races at the 1.5-mile Kansas track, which actually most closely emulates Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series joins the Cup Series at Kansas Speedway, while the NASCAR Xfinity Series has a weekend off. Here’s the full schedule.
