Ryan Blaney is looking to defend his race win, but he’ll have work to do from the 16th position. The pole position and No. 2 spot will be held by Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott, respectively, a double whammy of Hendrick Motorsports drivers.
Qualifying for the race was a washout Friday, meaning the field was set by the NASCAR rulebook.
Fourteen drivers have secured spots in the 2022 playoffs. One of them is Austin Cindric, who won the Daytona 500 to begin the year, edging out Bubba Wallace. Wallace’s 23XI Racing teammate, Kurt Busch, will not be racing in the playoffs as he remains sidelined with a concussion.

With on-track qualifying canceled because of inclement weather, the lineup was set by the NASCAR rulebook. NASCAR used this formula to line up the drivers:

Kyle Larson will start in the pole position through NASCAR’s math, with teammate Chase Elliott lining up in the No. 2 position. Joey Logano, Daniel Suarez and Christopher Bell round out the top five.
