Weather.com calls for almost 100 percent chance of rain through Sunday morning at 8 a.m. ET. Rain has already washed out Xfinity Series qualifying for the Lilly Diabetes 250, scheduled for 3 p.m. ET Saturday. Cup practice, originally scheduled for 10:30 a.m. ET, is also likely to be canceled.

ESPN’s Bob Pockrass reported Saturday there is “very, very little chance” there will be any track activity.

NASCAR Cup qualifying is scheduled for 6:15 p.m. ET Saturday, but with 100 percent chance of rain, the session is likely to be canceled and the field will be set on points, with Kyle Busch starting first, followed by Kevin Harvick.

As far as Sunday’s Big Machine Vodka 400 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup race scheduled for 2 p.m. ET, the schedule looks slightly better, but rain could still be an issue. Weather.com calls for the rain to begin letting up early Sunday morning, with the chance of rain diminishing to about 40 percent by the scheduled race time, and remaining at 20-25 percent through 11 p.m. ET.

If the race is postponed, NASCAR would hold the event Monday.

Even if the race goes off as scheduled, the lack of any track time will pose a challenge for teams, especially those with drivers/crew chiefs who have little track time at the challenging facility.
