After finishing second and fifth in Dover last season, the 25-year-old came back and won the pole for the AAA 400 Drive for Autism. This is his first pole of the season and his first career pole at Dover.
“We’ve always qualified good here, have yet to get a pole, have raced well here, but yet to get a win. So maybe we’ll get both out of the way this weekend,” Larson told FS1 after qualifying.
Larson has six career Top 10s at Dover and seven Top 12s.
As for Kevin Harvick and Kyle Busch, who both seem to be winning every other week this season, they will start in second and fourth respectively.
Joey Logano who took home the win last week at Talladega will start 18th.
The AAA 400 Drive for Autism will get going Sunday at 2 p.m. on FS1.
