The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department (MNPD) was the agency that performed Warner’s arrest, according to the record. At first, these images will be unfocused, but the James Webb team will use them to slowly fine-tune the telescope....

The explosion, known as forced magnetic reconnection, is triggered by an eruption on the sun that causes tangled magnetic field lines to snap and realign, shooting out particles and energy. Previously scientists had only ever witnessed spontaneous magnetic reconnection, which is not necessarily linked to eruptions on the sun. But observations from NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) revealed, for the first time in the solar corona, a forced reconnection event triggered by one of these eruptions....

Development of some kind of Mars plane has been continuing for several years with the hopes such a vehicle could collect atmospheric data or visual information. NASA experts provided more details in an Ask Me Anything session posted on Reddit, Monday. David Berger, STEM Engagement Embed to Aeronautics at NASA’s headquarters, confirmed it is possible to fly a plane on Mars, and that it would face similar challenges as Ingenuity....

Among these is an event taking place tomorrow which will commemorate the launch of the mission on July 16, 1969. On this day, half a century ago, astronauts Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins took off aboard a Saturn V rocket from Launch Pad 39A at the Kennedy Space Center, Cape Canaveral, Florida. Just four days later, the mission made history when Armstrong and Aldrin landed the Lunar Module Eagle on the surface of the moon and took the first human steps there, while Collins remained alone in orbit piloting the Command Module Columbia....

We’ve had three different winners in the first three rounds of the Chase. The 2017 Cup Series champion’s season started frustratingly with five top 10s in his first six races, including two runner-up finishes, but he simply couldn’t get into the winner’s circle.
