On Tuesday, the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook opened Kevin Harvick and Joey Logano as 5-to-1 co-favorites to win simply because they’ve been the best on the 1.5’s the past two seasons. In 24 races the past two seasons, including Darlington’s 1.36-mile layout, Harvick has led the series with 15 top-5 finishes while also leading 1,599 laps — winning four times. Logano has four wins also, 14 top-5’s and led 1,001 laps....

Keselowski took advantage of an overtime period to earn his sixth win at Talladega Superspeedway and his first win and his fourth top-five finish of the season. He also become the ninth different winner in the NASCAR Cup Series in 2021. William Byron, Michael McDowell, Kevin Harvick and Matt DiBenedetto finished in the top five; despite his high finish, DiBenedetto has to regret the way he finished the race....

The No. 18 car driver secured his third checkered flag at the O’Reilly 500 and after previous wins in 2013 and 2016, Busch now holds the most career wins at the race. The victory was Busch’s first of the season after three runner-up finishes so far and it’s his first since winning at Martinsville in 2017. He came into the day leading the points standings as well. Brad Keselowski and Ryan Blaney both ran out of fuel late in the race, setting the stage for the tight finish between Truex and Kenseth, a playoff outsider in need of a win. Truex now has four victories on the season. He leads the playoff standings by 18 points over second-place driver Jimmie Johnson, and the overall series lead by 116 points over Busch. Kyle Busch and Brad Keselowski produced early drama....

After the Bass Pro Shops Night Race at Bristol, the field went from 16 drivers down to 12. This year’s first round was unpredictable. Non-playoff drivers Erik Jones and Bubba Wallace took the checkered flag at Darlington and Kansas, respectively, in the first two races, preventing playoff drivers from cementing their place in the next round with a win. Joe Gibbs Racing’s Christopher Bell clinched a spot by way of points prior to Bristol....

The Xfinity race at Darlington, which originally was set to start Tuesday at 6 p.m. ET and was moved up two hours in an attempt to avoid potential bad weather, ended up getting postponed to Thursday due to rain. Harvick has now won five of the first 12 races of the season including two in a row after he dominated at Dover last week. This one didn’t come so easy though as he trailed Ryan Blaney and Kyle Larson for much of the race. A hard crash that sent Matt Kenseth’s car airborne and Danica Patrick’s car hard into the wall reset the field with three laps remaining. Keselowski was able to hold off Kyle Busch and Austin Dillon, who came in second and third respectively, for his second win of the season.
