The visualization by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration was created into a movie to show what two black hole disks could create should it happen in space. For reference, the two objects shown in the visualization are millions times bigger than Earth. One of the objects is 200 times larger than the sun while the other is 100 larger than the sun. Jeremy Schnittman, an astrophysicist at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland, created this visual....

Bowyer beat out Kyle Busch, who will start in second, and Kevin Harvick, who will be in third. The final four positions in Saturday race will be decided at the Monster Energy Open a couple of hours before the All-Star event. The winners of each stage in the Open will start 16th, 17th and 18th, respectively. The final car will be decided by the fan vote. Shepherd was at least 10 laps down at the time. “He was above minimum speed, he pulled over to let Joey go by and it’s a responsibility for all competitors, everybody has their responsibility to lay off each other,” NASCAR Vice President of Competition Robin Pemberton told reporters after the race....

The Penske duo of Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano have combined to win three of the 1.5-mile track races. Keselowski, who had a career-best Atlanta finish of third-place during his 2012 Championship season, is one of the 6-to-1 favorites. He was able to reel in wins at Speedway Motorsports Inc. sister tracks at Las Vegas and Kentucky. Logano, listed at 8-to-1 odds, won this season at the track that is most similar to Atlanta, Texas Motor Speedway, in April....

Busch had a great run Friday to take the pole away from Erik Jones, who posted a very good time early in qualifying, but Busch’s lead was short-lived as Keselowski took it away just one lap later. This comes one week after Keselowski got on Busch’s nerves at Kentucky when he cut him off during a lap, which made Busch motion to him out his window in frustration. On Saturday afternoon, the Hendrick Motorsports driver claimed the pole for Sunday’s GoBowling at the Glen. Elliott will have a familiar face starting alongside him on the front row, with William Byron qualifying second in the No. 24 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet. Kyle Busch, Martin Truex Jr. and Kyle Larson rounded out the top five on the grid. It’s Elliott’s third pole this season and the seventh of his career. West Indies had a disastrous start to the Test series when they lost to the hosts by a huge margin by an innings and 212 runs in the first Test, just under three days at Hobart. It was the visitors second loss on the tour, after they were humiliated in their pre-tour game to a lowly Cricket Australia XI. In an exclusive interview with The Associated Press on Friday, NASA Administrator Bill Nelson walked back comments made by director general of Roscosmos, Dimitry Rogozin. Newsweek previously reported that Rogozin said that the United States would be forced to use broomsticks to fly to space after its sanctions impacted the sale of rocket engines. “In this situation, we can no longer supply the U.S. with our rocket engines that are the best in the world,” said the Russian space chief at the time....
